The BioShaft Wastewater Treatment process has recently received its patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The BioShaft process is also currently patented in the UK and has filed a PCT application as well.

The unique BioShaft fixed film process virtually eliminates sludge.
Bioshaft is a biological treatment process that uses thousands of special carriers designed to create a large surface area for biofilm growth. This enhances the wastewater treatment process while reducing the footprint of the plant. By collecting and reintroducing this biofilm in to the process again, it allows us to virtually eliminate sludge!

A BioShaft plant has many advantages over a convetional activated sludge sewage treatment plant.

Some unique benefits include:

Minimal Sludge: Convetional Wastewater treatment produces a byproduct called "Sludge". First this Sludge has to be treated and then it must be hauled off & disposed of. A BioShaft plant produces up to 95% less sludge.

Minimal Footprint: The BioShaft accelerates the process and therefore a BioShaft Plant does not have to be as large as an Active Sludge Plant.

Minimal Odor: The amount of odor produced by the system is negligible, therefore our plants can be built in a much closer proximity to residetial housing developments.

Lower Initial Investment: It costs less to manufacture.

Lower Operational Costs: It takes less personnel to operate.

Lower Energy Costs: Energy costs are drastically reduced due to the minimal amount of electromagnetic parts.

Lower Maintenance Costs: The reduced amount of electromagnetic parts also drastically lowers the cost of maintenence.
