Existing wastewater treatment facilities that are running at more than their design capacity, are facing seasonal exceedances or are looking for ways to reduce their sludge management costs can solve these problems by incorporating single or multiple containerized T-MBBR Reactor(s) between the existing aeration and the secondary clarifier tanks. The reactor(s) can nearly double the treatment capacity and reduce sludge production by 80% without the need to construct additional aeration tanks or clarifies. The reactors will also significantly increase nitrogen removal and odor control. Typical operating cost savings easily exceed 50%.
The number and size of the reactor containers depends on the current and the required new treatment capacity.
